Review: Beautiful Ink by Nicole Reed

Family.

I have tattooed that single word on more skin than I care to count. It elicits powerful thoughts and emotions for most people.
Loving. Caring.
Supportive. Togetherness.
Forever.

But not for me. The word family means so much more.
Vicious. Harmful.
Dangerous. Corrupt.
Deadly.

You can’t run forever from the ones who love you.

NOTE: This novel is not a cliffhanger and can be read as a standalone.

WARNING: This book is real, beautifully raw, and not for the faint of heart. It is the story of a young girl’s loss of innocence while growing up around a motorcycle club. It is not suitable for children under the age of seventeen due to language, sexual content, and intense subject matter. Based on true events.

This book was incredible!!!  I am a huge fan of MC books, but this one was so unique, and FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC, I don’t think I can put into words my thoughts on this book but I’ll try!!!

Helen (Keller) was raised as a MC kid.  Her dad was MC’c vice prez and she was destined to take over as the queen of the MC, and marry Holden, the MC’s Prez’s son.  They have grown up together, and were best friends.  However, tragedy strikes, and and its hit Helen hard!!

The older Helen gets, the more she realizes that she doesn’t want this life, she doesn’t want to marry her best friend, and all she wants is to escape!!  Holden however, feels differently, he has loved/wanted Helen since they were kids, but he also wants his place at the top of the MC…Presidency!

So one day, she makes a deal…she get one and ONLY one chance to run from the life that has been built for her.  However, if she is found, she will take her position as his old lady, and except the MC life for good!!!  Holden made her promise to follow a few simple rules, so as not to be caught.  Everything was going well, with following the rules, until the day Vin walked into her tattoo shop!!

Vin and Keller had an instant connection, but they both harbored very deep secrets.  These secrets, that connection, and her inability to keep following the simple rules laid out from her past, is what leads to it catching up to her…with vengence!!!!

Beautiful Ink is so dark, and intense,  you cant help to be enthralled by it!  You can connect so deeply with each character, that you feel as you are right there along with them in their journey!!  I cannot rave enough about this book, and I cant wait for more!!!  Nicole, you have totally blown me away!!!
