I am a huge Stacy Borel fan, and I was highly anticipating reading this book. When I was able to get my hot little hands on this, I was so excited, I was literally jumping up and down....yes, truly, up and down!! However, nothing was as exciting as the second I finished the book!! I ADORED Stacy's Touching Scars novel, and never thought anything could top it, oh boy, was I ever wrong!!! Bender was FREAKING FANTASTIC!!!
Keegan Phillips is a curvaceous, ordinary college girl, looking to break out on her own. However, while most college students are living it up and have a very active social life, Keegan is raising her younger sister, because her mother is to busy living the life that should be Keegans. When Keegan finally had enough, she came across the perfect opportunity to break away, and went for it.
Camden Brooks is the man that no woman can resist. Hard bodied (because he is the owner and trainer at the family owned gym, The Dugout), incredibly breathtaking, sexy as sin, domineering, and the text book definition of an asshole alpha male!! His one flaw, well according to Keegan, is he can't seem to stay out of his new roommates business, knowing that was the only thing she ever asked of him. There is just something about his quiet, beautiful roommate that he just can't shake!
These two try so hard to to fight their sexual tension, and feelings for each other, that it only makes it more obvious to Dodger, Camden's brother and best friend, and Macie, Keegan's best friend that Keegan and Camden are meant to be. I am absolutely 100% TEAM DODGER, just incase anyone is asking, and trying to claim him, he is already spoken for!! #DodgerIsMine
The chemistry between Keegan and Camden is amazing!! They are so easy to relate to, and the books flows great with no hiccups along the way. It's everything I look for in a book! Bender has lust and love, drama and some angst, I laughed and I SWOONED!!! There isn't a single negative thing I can say about Bender.
I can't boast enough about Bender! The name itself, Bender, isn't what you would initially think, no boozing going on here!! Bender is a baseball term, and we all know, (and if you don't shame on you) that I am a HUGE BASEBALL FAN!!! GO RED SOX, BOSTON STRONG!!!!! The baseball theme in this book let alone, this series, totally hits a HOME RUN with me!!
This is the first book, in a four book series. Keep your eyes pealed for Slider (book 2, coming this summer), Dodger (book 3, coming this Fall), and book 4-untitled- (coming this winter). Stacy Borel has also wrote 3 other novels, Ever Enough, and Always Enough, of the Enough Series, and Touching Scars. (One of my TOP favorite books EVER!!) I hope you give Bender a chance, because you will not be disappointed!!! Stacy Borel currently resides in southeast Texas with her husband and two kids. She grew up as a military brat and has lived everywhere from California, Alaska, Azores Portugal, and Hawaii. She loves traveling and seeing new places, so being a military spouse is perfect for her. Stacy enjoys the adventure of moving every 2-4yrs. It's refreshing to experience a new place.
Stacy is a self proclaimed reading addict and Facebook addict. If she's not doing one of those two things, she can be found writing, or playing with her kids. Some of her hobbies are listening to new music, going fishing, being active outdoors, and she always loves spending time with her out of state family.
Stacy discovered Indie Authors in early 2012 after reading Fifty Shades of Grey, and there began her passionate love affair with books. She always wrote stories and journals growing up, but she decided in December 2012 to really dip her toes in the water with a romance novel. She now has three full length novels under her belt, and a whole new series for the 2014 year.
