Dazed is part of the Connected series but is the
novella story about Aerie and Jagger and can be read as a stand alone.
What can I say about Kim Karr other than she mastered
the art of storytelling from her very first novel and continues to give us
wondering stories that we lose ourselves in and that leave us wanting so much
more.
Jagger is beyond sexy, from his determination and
honesty to his sweet and loving heart that is yearning to love again.
Even though he is very passionate and tender when he wants something he has all
the determination in the world to not take no for an answer. He has all
different sides of him that I never got bored getting to know his
character. He has a tad of alpha male to him but also has a sweet side
that you can’t help but fall in love with.
Aerie is focused on her career and doesn’t have a lot
of spare time for things like a love life but slowly finds herself yearning for
something more and something meaningful. Not having the best track record
when it comes to the opposite sex she doesn’t trust easily and guards her heart
at all cost. But there was something about Jagger that caught her eye and
kept her in a daze from the moment she laid eyes on him stealing her
indulgence.
Fate steps in and works it’s magic when he has Aerie
and Jagger meeting again but this time he isn’t letting her get away so
easily. There love affair is a whirl wind of emotions and the chemistry
is off the charts. They each have a past that they both must overcome in
order to make their relationship work. There is drama, steam (oh boy is
there steam), angst, butterflies and rainbows and Kim provides us with all the
elements of a story we love.
When Jagger’s past is thrown into his present it causes
Aerie to start questioning everything and slowly the walls around her heart
that were once broken through finds themselves building back up. Jagged
is stubborn and doesn’t take no for an answer and isn’t willing to easily give
her up. He is a fighter and I loved that about him.
Dazed is a fun and easy afternoon
read that will have your heart bursting at the seams because of the love you
will have with the characters. While reading about Jagger and Aerie I
found myself in a daze of utter bliss. Kim Karr always delivers and never
disappoints, I am very eager to read more of the Connected Series and get to
know and love the characters that she truly brings to life on paper.
