Blog Tour: Break my Fall by J. T. Cameron

SYNOPSIS:

When Leah’s ex-boyfriend Kevin betrays her in a horrifically public way, she leaves town to spend her last summer of college in a place where no one knows who she is, what happened to her, and what she did to make herself so vulnerable.
All she wants is a little peace of mind and some good surfing so she can regroup before returning for her senior year.
After his own tragedy a few years ago, Drew developed an entirely new and unique outlook on life and became a risk-taker, daring and dangerous, everything Leah wanted to avoid.
But a chance encounter forces her to let Drew into her life, little by little, secret by secret. He’s smart, funny, persistent, hot, and makes money in a rather unconventional way.
They share a mutual fascination and attraction, until her past with Kevin complicates her present with Drew, making Leah question her future.
Just as her life seems to be spinning out of control, Leah learns that sometimes you save someone by letting them save you.

REVIEW

      REVEIWED BY: APRIL EPLEY

This was a quick read for me. I enjoyed it, yet it would have been better if it had not ended suddenly. I would have liked more of the story, maybe some more with the future outcome.

Leah Austin is leaving her past in Florida behind. She heads to Charleston in an effort to escape an ex that hurt her badly. Surfing is her passion. Her peace and her “purest form of escape”, which is how she comes across the sexy Drew.

Drew is instantly drawn to Leah. He is funny, sweet and I loved him. He has a kickback and relax kind of attitude, yet he likes to live life to its fullest. (He has the money to be able to do so also) He gains Leah’s trust and is able to help her enjoy life again.

They both have their demons they are dealing with, they help each other but can they both survive it??

Like I said it ended too suddenly for me. (another book please) My favorite quote/thought was from Leah. She is describing how surfing makes her feel.  “I’m on the wave. It’s powerful. Rough. Almost, violent. It pushes me. Lifts me. I’M FREE.” I just love that feeling of pure bliss.
I am giving this book 3 and a half stars and I will watch for another that I will gladly read. Thank you.
