Cover Re-reveal and Review: The Do-Over by AL Zaun

Synopsis:

Life doesn’t look like it’s supposed to for Dani Ruiz, a hopeless romantic. After a painful and sudden break-up with Rick Marin, Dani hides away from reality, retreating to a world of fiction where she prefers book boyfriends over the hassles of a relationship.

Almost two years later, Dani’s friends are tired of watching her in a holding pattern, so they stage an intervention, forcing her back into the real world of dating.

Unexpectedly, Dani meets Liam Lucas, a down-to-earth firefighter. He might be the person to show her she’s still worth something. Dani’s hesitant to trust her heart with another man, but their instant and electric chemistry is something she can’t deny.

As Dani starts to believe that she’s found her real-life book boyfriend, Rick decides that he’ll go to any lengths to get her back. Seeing Rick as a changed man makes Dani question everything.

Can Dani trust her patched-up heart with Liam?
Or has Rick transformed into the man she’s always wanted?

Written from various points of views, The Do Over is a story of second chances and new beginnings

Review:  Shelly rates this book 4 stars

This was an unexpected read!  I love stories that involve other book, and reading devices, like The Book Boyfriend series by Erin Noelle, and this had both!!

Dani is a hopeless romantic, who had her heart broken by her ex, Rick.  She hides out in her romance books on her kindle, and has imaginary "book boyfriends".  (just like the rest of us). One day while at a seminar for her job, she runs across a sexy, incredibly hot, fire fighter.  And what draws his attention to her but….her kindle!

Liam is as awesome as they come.  He is truly the "book boyfriend" that we are all looking for in reality.  Dani has finally found the man that can bring her out of hiding, and heal her heart form the hurtin' that Rick put on it.

That is until Rick comes back into the picture, and realizes that when he let her go all those months ago, that he let go of his future, the woman that is his "the one"!  Rick will stop at nothing to get her back, and that includes befriending Liam.

This book is an excellent, exciting, fun read.  AL Zaun did an amazing job with these characters. I would recommend this book to all that enjoy a great love story with some drama, and  hot, steamy, totally on fire sex scenes!!
