I will start out by saying that Lorelei James is one of my favorite authors. Her Rough Riders, and Blacktop Cowboys series, are nothing short of masterpieces! So, when I found out she was going to be writing a new series, I was ecstatic! Bound, book one in the Mastered series, was everything I hoped it would be!
Amery Hardwick, moved to Denver, because of an old boyfriend, and now is living the single life building her graphic design business. She has her employee, Molly, and her tenets (and best friends) Chaz and Emmylou. She was happy with the status quo, until the day she walked into the Black Arts dojo, and met Master Black.
Master Ronin Black, is an eight degree black belt, and owner of the Black Arts dojo. Sensei Black runs the dojo with the assistance of Shihan Knox, and Sandan Zack, his second and third in command, as well as his two most trusted friends. He is respected by every person he comes across, no one ever crosses him, NO ONE! He enjoyed the submissive way everyone always acted around him, until the day that Amery walked through that door, and changed his life forver!
You will find dominate and submissive behaviors, lust and love, drama and angst, and lots of amazing rope playing games! I have learned a lot about bondage in this book, and the differences between it and BDSM.
This book I rated 5+ stars!! It is another incredible novel written by Lorelei James, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the second book in this series, Unwound!
