Synopsis:
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day comes a story of the ultimate seduction. . . .
Max Westin. Sex incarnate. She could smell it, feel it with his proximity. Everything about him was a little rough, a little gritty. He was a primitive creature. Just like her.
He held her hand a little too long, his gaze, under thick lashes, clearly stating his intention to have her. To tame her. . . .
"Victoria."
Her name, just one word, but spoken with such possession she could almost feel the collar around her neck.
"It's in your nature," he murmured. "The desire to be taken."
In this game of cat and mouse, everything is an illusion, but the passion is as real as it gets. . .

This is an 18+ read only please. A lot of
steamy erotic scenes and all placed in a very interesting setting. I was not
sure about this book at first but was glad I stuck with it.
Victoria StJohn is a familiar (feral
according to The Council) who had lost her warlock lover, Darius, centuries
ago. Since it was actions of The Council that caused Darius to pass, Victoria
really wanted revenge against the council and is constantly winding them up.
Max Westin is a Hunter. The Council calls
him in to deal with Victoria. They allow him to try his way first by collaring
her. He winds up with much more than he bargained for.
The chemistry between Max and Victoria is
immediate. Once he tames her the Council decides she needs to be placed with a
new warlock. Max steps in and claims her for himself as the thought of her
being with anyone else drives him mad. From here you will have to read this
book to see how this journey finishes.
This is a triple novelette all combined in
one book. I loved that I could continue straight on with the story. I am giving
this book 3 strong stars as it did keep my attention. I love Warlocks,
Familiars, and Hunters oh my! Would love to see more of what happens with this story
please. Thank you so much!

QUOTES/EXCERPTS
‘She had to be dominated, as all good
Familiars were, but he would have to make her want it. She would have to
willingly submit – body and soul – in order for the collar to appear, since her
powers prevented the usual collaring without consent.’
‘Submission.
She wasn’t suited to it. She was far too strong willed, far too independent to
bow to a man’s demands.’
‘Time
had just ran out. He couldn’t fail in this. Failure would cost him more than
loss of pride. It would cost Victoria her life.’
DARIUS:
Live for yourself now, he admonished gently. You’ve lived enough centuries for
me.
MAX:
“My commitment is to care for you, and provide for you in every way. If you
need your revenge to be free of the past, I will deliver the means to you. You
are my greatest treasure, Victoria. I will always value and treat you as such.”
