REVIEW BY APRIL EPLEY
This
is a 18+ book please. This is a sexy, steamy and very emotionally gripping
story. Shayne has done it again! I loved
it. I would love to see some of the other characters develop more. Give me more
please!
JoEllen Astor had to grow up way too fast.
It was as if she was the adult and her mother was the grown child. She is smart
(very educated), sturdy and seems to be able to handle everything thrown at
her. She is a sweetheart and I loved her to pieces. Even though life keeps
trying to kick her down, she rises and does not allow defeat. Yes she has trust
issues, you would too if you grew up the way she had. She is graceful in a way
that amazes me and I very clearly see her in this story. I wish more people
would appreciate life the way that Jo does.
Jo works at The Dog Pound bar. All the
while she is a master carpenter, welder, web designer and working towards her
electrical degree. WOW! When she meets Holden Mayes, he is a bit of a mystery
to her. When she gets home that night!!! OMG what a surprise. Regret for him
and shock for her. Even though they form a friendship that is heartwarming. Oh
did I forget to mention that Holden is the most patient man ever! On top of
being sexy with his intense green eyes. When tragedy strikes he is there to
help Jo in so many ways! He is such a
romantic sweet man! I love him!
Twists and turns abound in this story!
Life does not define you, You define life! This is a true story of that. This
is an up and down, side to side book that will keep you hooked from beginning
ot end! I am gladly giving this book 5 huge stars. I just loved it. It will
keep your emotions reeling. You will probably cry (I did), yell, cuss, smile
and maybe jump up and down. Please do yourself a favor and one click this book
now! You will not regret it. Thank you so much Shayne for another wonderful
story and I am looking forward to much more.

QUOTES/EXCERPTS:
FROM
HOLDEN:
“I have no idea what it is about you that draws
me. I’ve been watching you for months. I ran into Donna outside Walmart and she
was an older version of you… I didn’t know how accurate that was at the time. I’m
not excusing it, just explaining. I came back to see you…not your mother.”
“I want to give you lots and lots of windows –
so you can see all the beauty you’ve been denied, JoEllen.”
FROM
JO:
“I will soon enough. I’m not worried. This is
all worth the life I’m gonna build myself. I take sh*t now and do what I have
to so I can have a window later.”
“To me, life is like gravity. You have to let
it keep you grounded, but you can never let it keep you down.”
She whispered, “A window. This is what waking
up with a window is like.”
Life should keep you grounded...it should
never keep you down.
About "Gravity"
JoEllen Astor grew up poor in one of the worst trailer
parks in Oklahoma. A childhood spent taking care of her mother and working hard
has made her world weary already.
One night, she meets Holden Mayes, a man who thinks she's
far too young for a man like him but can't help but want her. He makes a
mistake that almost derails their relationship before it ever starts and is
determined to make it right...no matter how long it takes.
Their accidental friendship is the only thing that keeps
her together when tragedy strikes that shakes the very foundation of Jo's
world.
When a man is slow, steady, and determined in his
pursuit...how long can you fight your feelings for him?
Read about overcoming anything and everything life throws
at you so you can have your own happily ever after. Another hot, emotional read
