AUTHOR INGE-LISE GOSS

Just a Little Q and A :

1. What are the titles of your books, and tell me a little about each one.
Currently, I only have one published book, The Tegen Cave, a dark fantasy. It’s about Sara Jones Running from her boyfriend’s organized crime family and starting a new life in a new town. But when people around her start dying from poisonous spider bites after she receives a mysterious package with a spider concealed inside, she worries that the family has found her. Life takes an even more bizarre turn when she seems to be not only immune to the spider venom, but also surrounded by a sinister group of people using spiders to incapacitate their prey. Even her new boyfriend starts acting suspiciously. Just who can she trust?

The Cost of Crude, a mystery/thriller novel, will be released later this year by Silver Tongue Press. Gwynn Reznick is thrown into a web of corruption after her best friend and co-worker dies in a car crash that turns out to be a planned murder. Determined to find the perpetrator, she works undercover with a private investigation team, led by Ruben Dordi, to acquire evidence. As they delve deeper into the crime, they find a trail of victims among Wilton Oil and Gas Company employees linked to a conspiracy that threatens a catastrophic pipeline disaster.

2. What is your favorite genre to write? To read?

To date, I have written in three genres: dark fantasy, mystery/thriller, and YA—science fantasy. I write whatever my muse dictates and I love the journeys where each story takes me. Those genres are all equal on my favorite list. They’re also the genres I enjoy reading the most, but I read all genres.

3. Is there anything about one of your books you totally hate and wish you could change, but everyone else seems to like?

In The Tegen Cave, I wanted Sara to end up with her other suitor, but my muse insisted on the ending. So far the reviews and comments I’ve received about the novel like the ending. However, I’ve had contacts from my webpage asking about a sequel and a few have also asked about the guy she left behind. Right now I’m working on a sequel and her other love will show up again.
