A fond birthday memory I have is when I turned 16 years old.  My mother bought me my very first real gold  ring.  It was white gold and had diamonds and sapphires (my birthstone).  I loved it!  The sad part of this memory is that somewhere in the last 15 years, it has been lost.  Even though I am sad that I lost this beautiful ring, the memory of it will always be clear in my mind.  Have any of you ever lost anything that was real precious to you?
